We manufacture ready subassemblies used mainly in the automotive, electronics and construction industries. We offer complementary services within the production process: preparation of moulds, castings of details of aluminium and zinc alloys, surface treatment, cataphoretic and spray coating, palletising and advice on glass – metal bonding products based on SBT (Structural Bonding Tape).

Quality control

Quality and the production process safety are the priorities of Saga Poland and all the Luma Automation plants.

Each stage of the production process is controlled by the SPC statistical quality control processes allowing ongoing detection of possible irregularities and their  immediate and successful elimination.

Before implementation to mass production, a prototype is subjected to detailed examination, including, among others:

  • dimensional control,
  • endurance control,
  • control of the internal structure of the casting,
  • corrosion tests,
  • high humidity tests,
  • salt spray tests – testing the quality of anti-corrosion coating,
  • cross-cut tests – testing adhesion.

During production, we use a variety of methods for visual inspection and measurement, including, among others:

  • flatness measurement of the details,
  • measurement of roughness,
  • microscope measuring,
  • endurance tests,
  • measurement at CMM 3D
  • autoclave – pressure and suction heating.

They guarantee durability and safety in accordance with the strict requirements of the automotive industry.

Meeting the high quality and safety standards applicable in the automotive industry additionally is provided by:

  • car manufacturers’ research laboratories and research institutions tests,
  • taking into account production processes and audit standards – IATF 16949,
  • environmentally friendly measures – implementation of a unique production technology, ensuring compliance with the EU directives in the field of elimination of certain heavy metals in manufactured cars.

R&D

Our research and development department works on continuous improvement of production processes, developing innovative technologies and products, as well as original forming, trimming and cutting tools. Our specialists are working, among others, on improving zinc and aluminium alloys in order to obtain products with even better performance.

Saga Poland, by consequent broadening the range of products and services, improves their quality and reduces production time. To that end, we have implemented in our production:

Spectrometer – the ongoing control of the alloys’ constituents ensures the material’s compliance with alloys standards during the production process.

X-ray – using an X-ray machine equipped with the system of automatic detection allows detecting porosity and internal flaws of the castings.  Owing to this, we can constantly monitor the production process quality and anticipate the results of the tightness tests, which we also offer.
