We are pleased to announce the start of our R&D project entitled:
“Technology for simultaneous monitoring and control of the heat treatment process in the automatic manufacturing of high-pressure die castings from light metal alloys, using tooling produced by additive 3D printing methods.”
The project has received co-financing from the European Union under Measure 1.1 – Research, development and innovation of enterprises (call no. FEMA.01.01-IP.01-013/24) as a modular project within the European Funds for Mazovia 2021–2027 programme.
THERMOCAST is an innovation designed for industries requiring high-pressure die castings of light metal alloys with enhanced mechanical strength – in particular the automotive and hydraulics sectors.
The project aims to develop a novel technology of HPDC casting heat treatment carried out directly at the casting station. This solution replaces the traditional, time-consuming and energy-intensive process performed on separate equipment, while enabling implementation for different casting alloys.
The project is divided into three stages:
As a result, Saga Poland will deliver a process innovation – an automatic casting process that ensures:
Project value: PLN 10,410,723.04
EU contribution: PLN 3,513,407.66
The project is co-financed by the European Funds for Mazovia.
